Don’t let excuses crush your creativity

Jonathan Mann has been writing and performing one new song every day for more than 2,000 days—generating more than 15.3 million views and gaining over 31,000 subscribers.

Along the way, musician/comedian Jack Dolgen decided to follow Jonathan’s lead by creating his own song-a-day project. The result? A parody/collection of 365 individual excuses for why Jack wasn’t able to produce a song each day.

All together, Jack’s videos showcase the roadblocks we face when trying to produce something new. Or, as Jonathan observes, “why people don’t make or create as much as they want to.”

The lesson here is to not let excuses or the pursuit of perfection get in the way of producing something, learning, getting better, and achieving your goals.
