I discovered David Wild’s tensecondfilm.com while researching an idea for a personal video project based on the elements of experience and short durations of time.
David has been creating ten second films since 1981. According to his website, he also produces works for commercials, documentaries, and longer films.
The idea/thing I love about the ten second format, and David’s work, is the challenge and opportunity for presenting entire experiences and stories in a perfect “bite.” There is also the promise of enabling the viewer’s attention to linger on something that might otherwise be missed.
I’ve included two of my favorites in this post. The first made me laugh out loud and think about life. The second made me think of love. Visit David’s website to see more Ten Second Films and check out more of his work on Vimeo.
