Taking a shot, trying, playing the game, and showing up all matter—at least they do if you want to be successful.
I think Seth is right about the connections and opportunities created by making something and putting it out there. If you don’t try “things” then the odds are greatly reduced that you will ever increase what you understand, excel, or be noticed.
Playing with ideas, trying out products, and having new experiences is fuel for creativity and invention.
Following through and creating something for others to see (like a collection of photos, a new video, a blog post, or whatever else) is important too. Let your ideas fly, make mistakes, and learn. Find others to ‘jam’ with (playing with others can be amazing).
Ultimately you are the one who creates opportunities that lead to satisfaction, success, and growth.
Doing is more powerful than ideas unrealized.
