Interesting comparison of desktop and mobile website load times

Google Analytics team members Arvind Jain and Mustafa M. Tikir shared an interesting dataset comparing desktop and mobile website speeds/performance for 2012 and 2013.

While access from desktop is only a bit faster, it is still impressive given that the size of the web pages have increased by over 56% during this period. It’s great to see access from mobile is around 30% faster compared to last year.

A faster website means less waiting and a better experience for your audience—though, there are more reasons why a fast website matters.
